Shennecossett Yacht Club is home port to over 400 members and more than 300 vessels, sail and power, from 7 to 50 feet. SYC is an active cruising club whose members have ventured south to Florida, Bahamas, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Venezuela and even the Pacific. Our members have left our burgee displayed in ports of call in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and the Islands and north into the rivers and inlets of Maine and Nova Scotia. We also have a strong racing contingent with participants in many of the local racing associations as well as popular offshore competitions. In 2008 Shennecossett Yacht Club will celebrate its 80th year as the favorite place to spend sunny summer days and balmy starlight nights, with friends and compatriots who love the sea.
